Getting started

Which deposit method should I use?

There are multiple options for depositing funds into your Strike account to buy bitcoin and make transactions, each with unique benefits. These options vary in terms of when the funds are available to buy or send bitcoin, as well as the associated fees and limits.

Below is a quick guide of the available payment methods:

Bank account Debit card Wire transfer
Buy bitcoin Instantly Instantly Upon deposit arrival (typically ~1 business day)
Available to send/withdraw Upon deposit settlement (typically ~5 business days) Immediately Immediately upon deposit arrival
Fees No fees Card fee applies (typically 1.94%) No Strike fee, but possible bank fee
Limits Limits apply Limits apply Unlimited

Both bank accounts and debit cards can be linked as payment methods within the Strike app to make deposits, and can be used as a funding source for immediate bitcoin purchases. Wire transfers are initiated from your own bank and are best suited for medium or large deposits. You can also set up a direct deposit to get paid in your desired allocation of cash and bitcoin, with the same timeframes and limits as wire transfers.

Strike Instant is a special service for loyal customers that provides advanced access to send, spend, and withdraw funds that are still pending bank deposit availability.
